The bezel for the large polished tiger eye stone in this necklace is strung on a length of heavy sterling wire, looped around with silver balls soldered to the ends. The balls are also soldered to the wire, so the stone can not slide off. The chain is made with 98 fine silver links, each fused closed and then shaped by hand, forming a Roman Chain, sometimes also called a Foxtail Chain. The handmade clasp is of sterling wire.
